ROCKINGHAM — The Richmond County Superior Court handed down the following notable convictions at this month’s session:

Jimiel Lovon Lindsey

Lindsey pleaded guilty to and is convicted of one felony count of second degree murder after he was initially charged with one felony count of first degree murder in the killing of Mi Casita Mexican Restaurant cook Benovente Jesus Dominguez in June 2016. He is additionally convicted of one felony count of robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Lindsey is sentenced to concurrent terms of between 192 and 243 months in prison for the murder conviction and to between 51 and 74 months for the robbery conviction.

The charge of conspiring to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon was dismissed. Lindsey had been in prison for 998 days at the time of his conviction on April 9. He was held without bond.

Victoria Raquel Clayton

Clayton pleaded guilty to and is convicted of two felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture a methamphetamine precursor. She is sentenced to between 13 and 25 months in prison with 18 months of supervised probation.

The court dismissed three other felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture a methamphetamine precursor, one felony count of manufacturing methamphetamine, and one misdemeanor count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and child abuse.

Clayton was initially held under a $55,000 secure bond.

Antuan Latice Zeigler

Zeigler pleaded guilty to and is convicted of one felony count each of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and obtaining property by false pretenses. He is sentenced to between 13 and 25 months in prison with 24 months of supervised probation.

The court dismissed one misdemeanor charge each of discharging a firearm within city limits and possession of a handgun by a minor.

Zeigler was charged after the Rockingham Police Department requested assistance from the public in identifying a suspect accused of shooting a victim and fleeing in a vehicle. He was placed under a $50,000 secure bond following his arrest.

Tyrone Lamont Covington

Covington pleaded guilty to and is convicted of one felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon. He is sentenced to between 13 and 25 months in prison with 24 months of supervised probation.

The court dismissed one felony count each of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, larceny of a firearm, possession of stolen goods and property, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and maintaining a place for keeping and selling a controlled substance, as well as one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

Covington was initially placed under a $25,000 secure bond following his arrest. He previously served 16 months in prison after November 2015 convictions on one felony count each of selling a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to state records.

Oberita Gadson

Gadson is convicted of one felony count of cocaine possession and is sentenced to 24 months of probation with 24 hours of community service to be completed within 180 days.

The court dismissed one felony count each of possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance and maintaining a place for keeping and selling a controlled substance, as well as one misdemeanor count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.

Gadson was initially charged after being discovered at a home where police allegedly discovered 693 grams of marijuana, 13 grams of cocaine and 71 units of the anti-anxiety drug Alprazolam, as well as a handgun, ammunition for the handgun, a rifle, digital scales, plastic bags, cigars and a pipe.

She was placed under a $10,000 secure bond following her arrest.
